Shaun was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to South Florida (for the weather) with his family when he was four. While at Plantation High, he tried to be as green as possible, serving as an officer for the school’s environmental club, “Save What’s Left”.

After high school, Shaun attended the University of Florida. In 2005, he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in sociology. While at UF, Shaun was involved in the National Society for Collegiate Scholars and the Key Society. Also in his spare time he played pickup basketball games, desperately hoping he would be magically discovered by the gator basketball team. When that didn’t pan out, Shaun attended law school at Florida State University, College of Law, although it pained his gator heart to do so. While at FSU, he was an active member of the Black Law Student Association and Phi Alpha Delta. In addition, Shaun did an externship at the Leon County Attorney’s Office and worked with the alumni office to twist the arms of tight-fisted alumni for donations. He graduated in 2009. Shaun joined the JSM family shortly after.

In his spare time, Shaun enjoys exercising, reading and rooting for the South Florida sports teams: Go Dolphins!
