Armando was born in Bogotá, Colombia and moved to Miami when he was only five years old. He went to high school at Belen Jesuit, and although you would not guess by his current fitness level, he was part of the school's first team state championship in Cross Country.

After high school, Armando headed to Gainesville where he found the first love of his life-the Florida Gators. [Ed. - We tolerate Armando's love of Gator football only because he is such a good lawyer and all-around nice guy.] After graduating from the University of Florida with a major in Economics, Armando ventured out into the world of long term planning and life insurance as an agent for Northwestern Mutual. Exciting as that was, Armando decided that missing two football seasons was enough, so he headed back to the University of Florida for law school. It was in law school that he met the second love of his life-his wife Melissa. While being married to a lawyer does have its advantages, the persuasive skills he learned in law school have yet to help him win any household arguments. After graduating from law school in 2003, Armando and Melissa returned to Miami, and he began his career as a collection attorney.

Shortly after graduation, Armando undertook the supervision of significant renovations to his new home. After one weekend of living in a construction zone, Armando decided to leave arguing with the general contractor to his wife and spend his weekends back in Gainesville, pursuing yet another degree from the University of Florida, this time an MBA. Armando graduated just in time for all the renovations to be finished.

With school finally behind him in March of 2008, Armando and Melissa welcomed their daughter, Wesleigh. When Armando is not in the office, he is indoctrinating Wesleigh in Gator athletics and waiting for Urban Meyer to call with an opening on his staff.
